Treatment Modalities

In addition to group and individual therapy, we offer a number of treatment modalities.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a fundamental evidence-based treatment, can be a very helpful tool in treating mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety disorder, and severe mental illness. The goal of CBT is to change patterns of thinking or behavior which lie behind a person’s illness, and so ultimately change how they feel internally.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy designed toprovide clients with new skills to manage painful emotions and decrease conflict in relationships. It has also been used to treat mood disorders as well as those who need to change patterns of behavior that are not helpful, such as self-harm, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders.

Recreational Therapy

Various forms of recreation can be used to help older adult patients. Exercise and games can promote positive emotional states and improved cognitive functions. Other activities, such as our karaoke sessions, allow patients to relax and enjoy themselves.
